This seems to be a very fun place, although I wouldn't know because I went with family on a Thursday for an early dinner. But the vibe is cool for a sushi restaurant - part of the menu is devoted to its House of Brew, offering a vast variety of beer. Beer and sushi is an ingenious combination. Alas, I came for mere sushi rolls, and I must say I have had better. The veggie roll was decent. There are a few variations of the dragon roll, and we got one topped with avocado which was good. I also had the pascale roll, with salmon, cream cheese, and cucumber with a sweet and delicious eel sauce, also topped with avocado. It was decent but not great. It was a little soggy and did not hold together really well. Additionally, the kids menu is disappointingly limited and rife with unhealthy eating options. The offerings were all of an American cuisine variety, which was unfortunate, given that it's a sushi restaurant. Zushi Zushi is a nice place, within short walking distance of the beach and the pier, and one of the only (if not the only) sushi restaurant in the central Fort Myers Beach area. You could do a lot worse, but for sushi you can do better.

Wonderful! i dont normally eat sushi but this place is amazing and so is their beer! Staff is also pretty amazing, we went here several times during our vacation. Also if you like beer, Try The EL COCO!

Not fancy, but great Zushi! Zashimi too! Marissa is very helpful. Lupita too. Good selection of rolls and more.

6/1/15 Delish! Ordered the Z Love sushi and it was soooo delish. Usually I've gotta dip my sushi in my soy sauce/wasabi but the flavors were so good I didn't need the sauce. Good service. I would definitely go back!

This place is a nice change from the fried shrimp/clams, and hot wings that this town is full of. As far as the sushi goes, which is all we got, I'll break it down for you. We got 4 rolls Beauty and the Beast (half tuna/half eel)- Pretty tasty and a good way to sample two different types of sushi French Roll - Skip this one Spicy Salmon Roll - pretty standard but good. King of the Ocean Roll - the best by far. This is really only a 3 star restaurant, it doesn't touch the sushi in land locked Chicago, but I gave it four stars because considering what the other dining options in the area are, I wanted this place to stand out. The server was very nice and the place had a nice vibe with neutral understated music. Check it out when you've had your last chicken wing in FMB.

I recently visited Fort Myers beach and was recommended Zushi Zushi by a local friend. We were greeted by one of the servers, promptly seated, and offered a very extensive beer list. It was hot afternoon, so I went for a Cucumber cooler - great refreshing cocktail. Oddly enough, we actually started our meal with an order of Onion rings. After that we ordered four different sushi rolls. Our server (Lacey??) recommended a Naked Dragon with added cream cheese and it was amazing. One of the better rolls I've tried in my life. Rest of the food was also excellent. Coming from Miami, I felt that the overall value was really great. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced, and service was very good and friendly. Whenever I am back in Fort Myers, I'm gonna be visiting Zushi Zushi for sure.

Had a couple of tuna rolls to go. The fish was less than fresh, tasted fishy. We were not pleased. Good that the pieces of fish were small

We stopped in to this place twice while we were vacationing in Ft Myers Beach from the East Coast of Florida. Wow. They have an amazing beer selection as well as the BEST Crab Rangoon I've ever had. The sushi was also pretty good. The staff was also knowledgeable and attentive. If we come back to Ft Myers Beach, we'll definitely go to this place again.

50 beers on tap and over 200 in bottles. So much to choose from. It was great.

I was here during a Labor Day holiday weekend. I didn't get to eat the sushi here, but it looks really good. Only came here for drinks before taking off. This place has a very extensive selection of craft and domestic brews. They even have a really good full bar. The bartender we had at the time is a very interesting character. He was very knowledgeable about the selection and was more than willing to help us choose what we want. This location also brew their own beer too. Next time I go to Fort Myers Beach I would definitely make this one of my stops again

This place is very good for beach sushi, seafood could be fresher but meets expectations, staff is super friendly and food comes out fast. very clean restaurant and rolls are yummy specially the crunchy eel one. I recommend :)

Okay. I'm not sure where to begin. First off, if the roll is not fried or contains creme cheese then it doesn't exist on the menu. Almost everything is deep fried and has your bagels best friend lathered in it! Then apparently spicy means sweet. I ordered a spicy tuna roll (the only thing on the menu that appealed to me) and when I got it, I thought time to leave! It was sweet. That sauce on top was not spicy. It was sweet. Like candy. Like cotton candy. I asked for hot sauce and even with the roll covered in the heat from h-e-double hockey sticks, it was still sweet. It was insane! Not where you want to get sushi, unless you like fried food and cream cheese. (p.s. I like those things but I usually get them at a state fair or Jewish deli)

Average sushi. Test just k. Very slow service. Twice we try and twice slow services. Take 30 minutes to get the sushi.

So many good sushi rolls ! We enjoy all the different brews from the other side too! Great place to go while you're at the beach.

Mediocre and disappointing After reading the reviews I had great expectations. Well this was not a great place. The service guy was too cool for school. The edamame was not bottomless and the sushi. Well a good sushi starts with the rice... This rice left a lot to be desired. It was dry and not really mouth watering as you want. The fish was fresh at some point I'm sure , just not when I got it, and the rolls were so mediocre that I couldn't distinguish which roll I was eating. All and all it was a pretty disappointing, and not inexpensive either.

This place is an excellent break from the friend beach seafood. The sushi was much better than I expected in Fort Myers Bearch, the service was impeccible and the draft beer list is very long. We ended up eating there twice on our 4 day visit.

  • Steve R.

Food and service was excellent! Very clean, friendly and at tentative staff. Also it's attached to a House of Brew which has the best beer selection on the island we've seen. Bartenders and server were helpful in recommending new beer selections and provide free tasting samples before you buy! Sushi was way above what we expected and tasted fresh and delicious. Will definitely recommend if you crave beer or sushi.

Ate tonight with friends. Donna B. Was our server. There was 15 of use. And she did fantastic. Meet all our needs with a smile.. The food was fantastic and the presentation was wonderful. We will go back.. Great place to eat..

First I've never had such horrible service in my life. Our waitress, jasmine, walks up and introduced herself with her hands clearly dirty and then she smelt like cigarettes. She the took our drink order and denied my daughter who is 22 and then attempted to take my id! (I'm 48). We left and as we were half way down the street the bartender (guy with pony tail) and jasmine screamed at us. It was embarassing for the establishment. Shame I've heard such good thins but will never go back there.

This place rocks. We tried the kimchi roll, spider roll, crab roll, crunchy tuna roll, veggie tempura and Asian calamari. The veggie tempura was the only "okay" dish, but it was still tasty and light. The rolls were exceptional--well made and they tasted awesome. The calamari was sweet and spicy teriyaki-style; it was perfectly cooked and super fresh. Our server was back regularly to refill drinks and see if we needed anything else. We work hard to find places where the whole family can dine, which is super difficult when you have a kiddo with an anaphylactic dairy allergy. The staff took two minutes to reassure us upon entering that they had it under control...and they were 100% right. It was clear they train their staff on food allergies (*double thumbs up*) This was our first time being able to comfortably order multiple items out at a restaurant for our young one with allergies. Kudos to Billy and the other staff members who, without being asked, put in the extra effort. We are all looking forward to our next visit. You can't beat this place for selection, location, and staff...and it was noticeably less expensive than many sushi joints I've been.

Excellent flavors of sushi. A bit pricey but my daughter and I shared 4 special rolls. STUFFED. Fantastic waitstaff. Worth it. Will try to be back again before leaving Ft. Meyers.

It was good, but I enjoyed the steak better than the sushi.

I have eaten Sushi all over the world and I wasn't expecting spectacular sushi when entering the restaurant but was willing to give it a try as I was in my sushi mode that night. Oh my god, I was shocked... This was the best sushi I have eaten, ever... My boyfriend who I drag around on my sushi quests was speechless. Service was nice and friendly. Speed was average but that's because everything is prepared on the spot in open kitchen with fresh fish and an entertaining and passionate chef... I discovered many new variations of sushi. Crispy was crispy, spicy was spicy and flavores mix perfectly. If I didn't live 6000 miles from this place I would be a regular...

A nice location just off FMB. My wife and I had the 10 piece sashimi sampler and two rolls (one was the Kiss, other the Tanzana? Roll). All of the pieces and rolls looked good but had absolutely no taste. The low sodium soy sauce was also less than palatable. Maybe after a few beers we could have washed it all down with a smile. Not worth a visit. Sorry Zushi Zushi.

Incredibly large, fresh portions. My husband and I had amazing sushi. The beer selection is quite impressive as well.

Great beer selection and good sushi! Bartenders are very knowledgeable about beer. They gave samples of draft beer until I found the one I wanted. I didn't even ask for samples, the bartender just kept bringing them. Great customer service!

Let me say I work in Hospitality in Las Vegas, and experience food all over th country in Los Angeles, Chicago & Canada. I have had good sushi and fantastic sushi. But Zushi Zushi was phenomenal! The size of each sashimi was so thick and full of freshness. The presentation was so clean and pretty, and it melted in your mouth. I happen to ask for my favorite quail egg with salmon roe, it was presented so beautifully I didn't want to mess up the perfect dish. It was such a pleasant surprise in fort myers to find a fantastic sushi place, this was the last place I thought I could find any innovation in food but you certainly changed my mind! I love the laid back atmosphere, the music wasn't blasting yours ears so you can have a conversation and lighting was bright.

This was the worst service we ever experienced! Really! The young Asian looking Lady seemed arrogant and extremely bored. She was unfriendly and spent the most time hanging out with the other staff, laughing in a dirty way after looking at guests. We felt uncomfortable the whole time we spent in this Restaurant! She took the plates away before we finished eating. She brought the bill before we could order dessert or another drink. Seemed they don't want guests to enjoy their time there.. Never again! The Sushi was good, but thats the only positive we can tell about this Restaurant!

So I have to give a really great kudos to our waiter guy. We strolled in here not knowing if we were going to make lunch or not. I ordered my usual sashimi and edamame. What was up with that edamame? It seems like it was bottomless. I ordered only one order but it never seemed to go down! I never finished all of it. Was a great start to our day. We easily burned 3 hours in here. It was supposed to be a quick lunch stop but it never usually ends up being that way with us. We always say we're going to be in here for an hour. Then boom 3-4 hours later walking / err maybe stumbling out. The young man that was working behind the counter was pretty sociable and friendly. We had a good chat with him and appreciated him taking out his time to talk to us. We learned a lot of things about the area. As I mentioned in my other reviews for FL, we were here visiting my parents and we made a few stops along the way. It's places like these I always want to remember to come back to. Would go back again

The drinks are good, the service was quick and attendant. The sushi was fresh but not the highest quality. It was a little rubbery in texture. Not bad for catching a quick meal at the beach.

I went for lunch with friend on a Monday afternoon. Our service was great and our waitress was very pleasant. The food wasn't overly impressive. I had the Kimchee Roll, the Spicy Octopus appetizer, and one other roll that I can't remember. Their beer list is extensive and includes two gluten free beers (in addition to many cider beers). The booth seats need to be updated because they are very tattered and worn.

Sorry guys but this place is a solid 3 stars. Service was slow, orders weren't accurate and food was cooked wrong. That's the trifecta of suckiness!! Our server was nice, the couple sushi rolls I got were good but they need some serious tweaking to rise to the 4-5 star level. Good news for them, they are in a busy touristy area but I wish we waited the 45 minute wait at one of the other laces with over 4 stars.

  • Ashley A.

My friends and I are regulars here. The sushi is good, granted it is Americanized. I'd say it's with the caliber of sushi from swfl's blu sushi, but it costs less! Service can be hit or miss but the staff is always friendly enough to make up for it the slow pokes. When my dinner was a long wait they offered me free miso or salad. And when I came in drenched with a bunch of friends they gave us free tea. I love this place. It is good food and the location can't get anymore convenient. My friends and I love the beach and it's nice to have a place to go eat that doesn't have such a rowdy crowd of happy drinking tourists. Speaking of drinking, when you are in the mood for alcohol their drinks are VERY strong.

This is the best sushi place I have ever been to. They have great sushi, TONS of awesome beer and the best service. I came here tonight and they were slammed but they still took the time to be personable and friendly. East coast food service could learn a good lesson from this place.

Horrible!! Our sushi smelled bad!! The bartender took our plate back and still charged us for the stale disgusting fish!! Would never go back!

Excellent, FRESH sushi by the BEACH! This is the Gulf-side sister restaurant of Home Thai Sushi in Bonita Springs, FL. The desserts looked yummy, but was too full to try one. Zushi Zushi is sporting a full bar!

Awesome amount of beers on tap. I personally loved the sake bombs for $5. Our server was helpful with ordering and the bus boy was very pleasant.

I went in wanting something light to eat and walked away wishing I would have skipped dinner completely. I ordered the crab ragoons and it had yellow curry in it. Nothing like I've ever tasted. I got the generic roll (I forgot the name) but it had tempera shrimp, avocado, cumcumber and eel sauce on top. The eel sauce drenched all of the rice and it was terrible. The waitress was also terrible, I tried to ask a few questions about the menu but after one question she walked away. We waited 20 minutes to locate the lady to get our checks and asked for separate checks and she came back with one (of course). I will say that they had a large beer menu but the waitress had NO idea about any of them.

We went here one night when we were out on the beach. BIG mistake. Not only was the place dirty but the food was disgusting. We waited a very long time for our food as well. I had to walk through a bunch of drunks to get to the restroom. We went before season hit and will never go back. Seriously over priced.

Came here to watch the Patriots vs. Dolphins game. Admittedly, I'm biased toward our experience here because the bartender was also rooting for the Patriots in the middle of Florida. So... great service! hahaha. Didn't really eat much, just some gyoza and soft drinks. Not bad. Probably wouldn't come here for a real meal though, since the menu was some sort of Americanized Asian Fusion thing going on. Great location.

My husband and I have been waiting for good seafood on FMB for nearly seven years, and, finally, here it is. We went here twice during our stay, and although the first experience had a glitch (which was NOT the fault of our server) we went back for the really, really good sushi. Dave was our server, and he was extremely sweet and attentive. We watched him patiently help a sushi novice and make suggestions. The rolls are HUGE, beautifully prepared and reasonably priced. Sushi chef could have been a tad more friendly, but he was busy. The other half of the restaurant is American food,(this is where the bar is) and the drinks are super yummy! The fire dragon roll was delicious - I wish I could recall the names of the other rolls we had! Nigiri and sashimi were really fresh, although I wish they would serve more than one slice per portion. All in all, I would definitely go back, and I truly hope to see Dave again next year and watch this place survive and thrive in this ever growing and changing beach town.

Awesome food and staff. A bit loud if your looking for a intimate dinner, long list of beer selections. The Tuna Takaki is a must.

Despite the reviews my boyfriend and I had to try it out while waiting for my mom and grandmother to get off of the casino boat! Let me tell you the sushi was phenomenal! Our server Brian recommended king of the ocean and amber dragon roll we also picked the super nova roll and needless to say as quickly as it got to the table it was devoured! Awesome sushi and a great server!

Had lunch here twice when staying in Fort Myers. Sushi was pretty good and priced reasonably. Cool atmosphere, good location, right by the beach on the strip. I'd go here again.

Can zushi zushi give us a star for us going there? I only gave them 1 star because yelp Is making me. That being said, this restaurant is awful. The food was absolutely terrible, tasted like cat food. Americans trying to put a spin on sushi just doesn't work out ... Unless your from the midwest and you would probably think it's awesome. Btw on top of the food, the service sucks and the music is way too loud. Don't waste your money just go to osakas it's right over the bridge.

Possibly the beautiful sushi I have ever eaten with great service! The Miso soup and salad with ginger dressing amazing and tuna sashimi was excellent! We loved it all!

Sushi served in some kind of super sweet syrup and covered in chili powder. This is the worst place I have ever eaten sushi. No wonder it was empty during lunch. Go across the street to smoked oyster brewery for the sake of your stomach.

Went to the House of Brewz part of the restaurant. 40 something beers on tap. The prices of their beer was very reasonable. Went with my wife and her family and we each had a couple of beers. The bartender seemed angry she was working that day, plus didnt know anything about the beers. She did give us some samples after we asked, The selection was very good, and we will go back and try the food next time.

Decided to stop in here for a late night dinner on a recent weekend vacay in Ft Myers Bch. The service was fast (but not rushed) & friendly! The sushi was SOO FRESH & SOOOO GOOD! The ginger dressing on their house salad is simply TO DIE FOR.... its made fresh daily, in-house.... & it definitely tastes like it. We shared 2 orders of rolls, & each had a house salad... $30. Well worth every penny & then some!!

This place is fantastic. We had a mix of different sushi types, Edamame, steak teriyaki, and the red curry. In a group of five, we couldn't find a single thing to complain about. The steak teriyaki was tender, tasteful, and served with freshly steamed vegetables. The sushi was fresh and firm and came out in a reasonable amount of time. The chicken curry was mild, but extremely tasty. Easily the best place to eat dinner on the beach.

My family likes this restaurant. We love the food, service is consistant. Clean.

Take a pass on this place. The kimchee sauce they put on the spicy salmon and spicy tuna rolls made them almost inedible with a metallic taste to them. Also the service was incredibly slow. The sushi came out in a reaonsable amount of time; however, the kids meals and any non-sushi dish didn't show up at our table for over an hour. This doesn't make for a pleasant dining experience. Apparently the owner was the only one in the kitchen cooking because he sent all the staff home according to the waitress. This didn't seem to me to be an issue because we were only one of about four occupied tables. It however appeared to be a significant issue for the owner in the kitchen. And for our wait and trouble, they graciously DIDN'T offer a discount not even for the beer that was seemingly offered by the waitress to one individual in our party who waited an inordinate amount of time for her food. Take a pass on this place.
